Proclaimers of the Word
The Word of God is proclaimed rather than read, so that we hear the Word (active) rather than listen (passive). The First and Second Readings lead us to hear the Gospel proclaimed and broken open through the Homily by the Priest. Parishioners are invited to be a Proclaimer of the Word.

Welcomers and Hospitality
Our welcomers are the initial contact people have arriving at Church, and at our many functions. They also greet, hand out newsletters, answer questions and offer our hospitality. They are our representatives.

Communion and Visitation of the Sick
There are many sick parishioners, living in their own homes who are not able to get to Church. We have a group of wonderful people who visit them on a weekly basis. Apart from the housebound, Extraordinary Ministers of Communion also visit Pindara Hospital and the local Nursing Homes: BUPA, Cypress Gardens, Hillview House, Lady Small Haven and Mermaid Beach.

Altar Serving
Children (boys and girls) are invited to become Altar Servers after the completion of their initiation (Baptism, Confirmation & Communion). An invitation is extended to all children on completion of the Sacramental Program. After training, each Altar Server is rostered on a nominated Saturday night/Sunday Mass.
Care and Concern
The Care & Concern Group has been operating in our Parish for over 20 years, and demand for our services continues to grow, with an aging population and increasing numbers moving into this area. We have a small band of dedicated helpers who give willingly of their time and resources each week, providing transport for elderly clients, to medical, hospital, dental, optical and hearing appointments.

Religious Education in State Schools
Volunteers visit local primary schools on a weekly basis (usually mornings). This ministry provides children of all grades attending State Schools the opportunity to share in religious education through prayer, song, Bible story and drama activities.
